Fury of a Dying Star

Inspired by this:

For the first time

Caught by tail-end and pulled back
by a ravenous mouth, black, black,
at the center of the galaxy,
and spun apart, heated so intense,
we witness your dying gasps--

a black hole has been caught
in the act of tearing apart

such fury emanating, a light show
for spectators unknowing, light-years away.
What life could you have lived,
to die in such a blaze?

and swallowing a star
that got too close.

You got too close to death's tidal pull,
though you broke apart against no shore.
I will be long dead, before your dying arm
shall touch my skies. And in this cold universe

who will mourn for us?
